The Asamankese Lithium Project is a greenfield lithium discovery located near the town of Asamankese in Ghana’s Eastern Region. Early exploration confirms an extensive Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (‘LCT’) pegmatite system, expanding Kodal’s West African lithium footprint and positioning the project to support the global transition toward renewable energy and electric mobility.
Situated within the prolific Birimian geological sequence – the same geological terrain hosting Kodal’s flagship Bougouni Lithium Project in Mali – Asamankese represents a significant expansion of the Company’s West African lithium footprint. Systematic early-stage exploration has already mapped extensive pegmatite trends with high-grade spodumene mineralisation, establishing Asamankese as a premier exploration project in a well-established mining jurisdiction.
Prime Location & Infrastructure
Located approximately 75km northwest of Ghana’s capital city, Accra, with direct access via the Accra–Kade sealed highway.
Substantial Concession Footprint
Covers a contiguous area of 156 km² within Ghana’s Eastern Region.
Established Grid & Communications
Benefit of established regional grid electricity and cellular communications network across local communities.
Favourable Climate & Operating Conditions
Tropical savannah climate with distinct wet (April–October) and dry (November–March) seasons, allowing year-round access and operational continuity.
High-Grade Lithium Mineralisation
Multi-element rock-chip sampling has returned exceptional high-grade lithium assays of up to 3.02% Li₂O.
