Asamankese Lithium Project

The Asamankese Lithium Project is a greenfield lithium discovery located near the town of Asamankese in Ghana’s Eastern Region. Early exploration confirms an extensive Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (‘LCT’) pegmatite system, expanding Kodal’s West African lithium footprint and positioning the project to support the global transition toward renewable energy and electric mobility.

A New Lithium Discovery in Ghana’s Eastern Region

Asamankese Lithium Project

In October 2026, Kodal Minerals entered into a binding joint venture agreement to earn up to an 80% interest in the 156 km² Asamankese Lithium Project located in Ghana’s Eastern Region.

Situated within the prolific Birimian geological sequence – the same geological terrain hosting Kodal’s flagship Bougouni Lithium Project in Mali – Asamankese represents a significant expansion of the Company’s West African lithium footprint. Systematic early-stage exploration has already mapped extensive pegmatite trends with high-grade spodumene mineralisation, establishing Asamankese as a premier exploration project in a well-established mining jurisdiction.

Project Outlook & Next Steps

Kodal is leveraging its proven experience from the Bougouni Lithium Project in Mali to systematically advance Asamankese through cost-effective exploration:

Initial Field Work

Ongoing ground mapping and rock-chip sampling to refine surface targets.

Reconnaissance Drilling

Phase 1 drill testing at Amantra and Nfranta to test sub-surface depth and strike continuity of mapped pegmatites.

Resource Delineation

Results from initial drilling will guide the next stages of exploration and project assessment

Development Pipeline

Utilising Kodal’s regional technical and operational experience to guide future technical, environmental, and feasibility studies.
