Kodal Minerals (AIM: KOD), the West African lithium producer, mineral exploration and development company, announces that Kodal’s Operations Director, Steven (Steve) Zaninovich, will revert to being a Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Mr Zaninovich has been instrumental in steering the Bougouni Lithium Project (“Bougouni” or the “Project”) in Southern Mali during development, construction and ultimately through to production and the export of spodumene concentrate. Mr Zaninovich will continue to be closely involved with the Project through his continued role as a director of the operating company, Kodal Mining UK Limited (“KMUK”) (in which Kodal Minerals has a 49% interest). He will also continue to provide the Company with advice and support as operations continue to develop and expand.
In addition to his role as a non-executive director to Kodal Minerals, the Company has agreed a consultancy arrangement with Mr Zaninovich under which he may provide additional consultancy services as requested by the Company in connection with Bougouni or other projects.
Following this change of role, the Board of Directors of Kodal will be composed of five members: Non-executive Chairman Robert Wooldridge, Chief Executive Officer Bernard Aylward, and Non-executive Directors Charles Joseland, Steve Zaninovich and David Teng.
